Sean has
worked and played among the Red Rocks of Sedona
for over 35 years. At 14, he entered the
culinary profession and spent over 25 years as a
cook and chef, developing a love of cooking and
expertise for creative recipe development… much
to the delight of his wife.
He
first discovered yoga in 2000, attending Bikram
yoga classes for two years. When that local
studio closed, Sean began attending Devi Yoga
Studio and discovered the Astanga based Vinyasa
Flow style that he practices today. Immediately
captivated by the challenging pace and postures,
the powerful breathing technique and overall
full being experience of the Vinyasa style, his
practiced deepened and he became a truly
dedicated practitioner. In Spring 2003, Sean
pursued and graduated teacher training and has
taught at Devi Yoga for 6 years…much to the
delight of his students. He has continued his
education, attending workshops with David
Swenson, Larry Schultz, Darren Rhodes and
others.
Sean’s dedicated yoga practice enable him to
revaluate his life and honor his need for
occupational freedom. He left the culinary
profession for fun with computers. (Bites to
bytes!) For the last 6 years, he has owned and
operated a successful computer service and
repair business, thanks to his integrity and
patient clarity in explaining the technical…
much to the delight of his customers.
Through his 10 year yoga journey
as his passion and knowledge has deepened
and his
teaching style has refined.
Sean offers a well-rounded approach to the
postures, whether you are a beginner or advanced
practitioner. He emphasizes inner awareness and
setting the breath as the foundation for
flexibility
and awakening, helping to cultivate a deep
relationship with one's body. By learning inner
control, calm and focus, you can bring all
aspects of yourself into alignment and balance.
